Our client, a well-established and highly respected law firm, is seeking an experienced Marketing & Business Development Manager to help lead their BD & Marketing function and play a central role in driving the firm’s growth. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident, proactive professional with strong team-management experience and a background in legal or professional services marketing.
The Role
Reporting to the Business Development Director, you will oversee the day-to-day management of the BD & Marketing team, ensuring workloads are effectively allocated and that the team delivers high-quality output across all projects. You’ll lead on the development and implementation of the firm’s marketing plan, ensuring alignment with their strategic vision and identifying opportunities for differentiation through market and competitor research.
You’ll manage the full spectrum of marketing activity, including PR, events, digital channels, sponsorships, advertising, awards and directory submissions. In addition, you will provide BD support to Partners and practice groups, helping shape BD plans, contributing to pitches and credentials, and driving the launch of new services through a structured project-management approach. Supplier management, budget control and client feedback oversight also form key parts of this varied and influential role.
About You
The ideal candidate will hold a Marketing degree or CIM Level 6 qualification and bring a minimum of five years’ experience in a similar role. You must demonstrate proven success in marketing and BD, strong organisational and project-management skills, and the ability to lead, motivate and develop a team. Excellent communication skills and confidence working with senior stakeholders are essential, as is proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe (Photoshop and InDesign).
