Head of Business Development.
Location: Manchester, Greater Manchester
This is a key role for this leading Law firm as the Sector Development Lead (essentially the Head of Business Development) where you will take accountability for the development of the sector strategy and management of the nationwide team.
The role will involve all aspects of business development including, key client development, new business and firm wide campaign strategies. You will manage a team of BD Managers and Executives based in diverse locations around the country and support their endeavours to build their specific location and sector responsibilities in line with your strategy. You will be closely supported by the Marketing Director and the leadership team and the development and utilisation of those relationships will be key to the success of the role. This is a commercially focussed position and one of the key success factors will be ROI and the increased productivity and revenue streams of the partnership.
To be successful you must have a proven track record in relationship development, man management and BD strategy. It is essential that you have a commercially focussed approach, consistently looking at your approach to BD through the lens of ROI and the benefit to the business. The ability to clearly express these targets and strategies will also be of key benefit in terms of building the necessary internal relationships to succeed. A background of experience gained in the Professional Services sector is also considered a key factor in the recruitment process and those without this experience will not be considered for the position.
